Agile was supposed to kill the Gantt chart, but after seven years of sprint ceremonies, I'm convinced most teams just do waterfall with extra meetings. Does Agile software development actually deliver better products than a well-documented plan, or have we confused process compliance with real progress? I've seen both fail spectacularly, but the empirical evidence on this feels surprisingly thin.
