Does hybrid learning really beat fully online courses?
After three years of teaching college history, I've noticed that students who take my hybrid courses—part online, part in-person—often perform better than those entirely online. But is that because of the format or because they're more motivated students to begin with? I've seen online learners excel when they have strong self-discipline, and seen others fall behind without the structure of a classroom. What has been your experience—has online learning matched the quality of in-person classes for your goals?
